Shuttlers Expands Mobility Portfolio with Shuttlers Pod
Nigerian mass transit startup Shuttlers has officially launched 'Shuttlers Pod', a new carpooling service designed to provide affordable, premium shared mobility amid rising living costs.

Prominent Nigerian mobility startup Shuttlers has expanded its transport ecosystem with the official rollout of its latest product line, Shuttlers Pod. The new service introduces a scheduled carpooling framework targeted at urban professionals seeking secure and cost-effective alternatives to traditional private cabs.
The launch comes at a critical juncture for Nigeria's urban transport sector, following recent structural shifts in the ride-hailing market. According to company executives, the pod system is built to counter surging fuel and maintenance costs by maximizing occupancy through optimized route-sharing technology.
"Nigeria's cost of living is rising faster than incomes," noted Damilola Olokesusi, Shuttlers' chief executive and co-founder. "The smartest way to move people is through shared mobility."
Operating across major hubs including Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, Shuttlers has scaled its infrastructure significantly since its inception, crossing cumulative milestones of over 10 million completed passenger journeys. Industry analysts view the launch of Shuttlers Pod as an aggressive positioning strategy to capture market share among corporate commuters as competitive pressures intensify across Nigeria’s tech and transport landscape.
